Very swanky bar and you will love the ambiance! Sad to see them closed due to the hurricane but know when they reopen they will be even greater.

Solid fare all around at the eclectic grand bohemian hotel, right outside the biltmore estate. Particularly enjoyed breakfast/brunch with dishes like lobster crab cake Benedict (genius) and the smoothie bowl was so good. Elk carpaccio was also a standout and love that their menu is constantly evolving.

Oh my... we decided this was the best place for dinner - within walking distance of where we are staying and great reviews. OMG - it was so good. We had a very relaxing dinner that was wonderful. First a martini, which went with a wonderful caesar salad. We then went for a seared scallop on risotto and a peach brined chicken - with a kale peach bacon salad. I'm still amazed that the salad worked - it was sooo good. The chicken was the most tender and flavorful that I've ever had. Our server, Brandon, was quick, efficient, and not too in our face - it is a fine line and he handled. One funny note - I had originally made a reservation at what I thought was the Grand Bohemian w/in walking distance - but it was the one in South Carolina! OOOPS!

This place was absolutely incredible!! The second we stepped inside we were greeted by massive elk taxidermies and beautiful leather upholstery. The chairs were all either couches or armchairs. I felt Like a Viking lord. Also, I have never eaten such heavenly food in my life. I tried my husband's elk and it was just as incredible as my buffalo. We decided to get the mashed potatoes and I have never eaten such creamy, well seasoned potatoes in my life! The waiter was fast and friendly. I told him that I am new to alcohol and really wanted something that I could enjoy, but I haven't been finding things I like. He recommended one of the summer cocktails, and it was the best alcohol I've ever had. He was spot on. The food came out quickly.

Amazing service and good food! Located inside a hotel this spot leans in heavy to the 'stag' portion of their name. The vibes are best described as moody vampire gets a hunting lodge! It's very plush and opulent while simultaneously having antlers everywhere. We had a reservation but still had to wait 10-15 minutes, which in my opinion beats the point of having a reservation. The service was excellent and our waiter was good about not lingering. Food- I HIGHLY recommend getting the goat cheese bruschetta as an appetizer. It was beyond amazing and I thought about fighting my husband to get the last piece. For an entree I got a steak. The sides are for the table and we got carrots and mashed potatoes. The carrots were good but the mashed potatoes were bursting with flavor! When the sides came out we laughed and said there's no way we were going to eat all of those potatoes! Seriously it was probably enough for 4 people. Well.... We ate all the potatoes and I considered licking the spoon. For a dessert we got a chocolate lava cake, it was decadent and so rich and delightful! I'm a person who loves rich things but I don't think I would've been able to eat the whole thing on my own... good thing my husband split it with me! Overall: I'd come back for the above mentioned things. The steak wasn't anything to write home about but it was still good food!

Must have a reservation or will be sitting in the bat which was not bad at all. Same food and think quicker service The menu does not have a large selection but some major variety for choices From elk to trout to lamb. I had the trout and the truffle fries. The trout was fantastic and the truffles fries stole the show with our table. Outstanding! The service was top notch and he was so polite and willing to answer all of our questions.

We came here for lunch on a Friday and were seated right away. Our server Brittany was superb. She gave us food suggestions and local tips of where to visit and go while we were in town. She spent so much home with us and we appreciated her care and kindness. We enjoyed our salads, Cuban sandwich, and avocado toast with a bottle of cava. The interior is warm and cozy. We really enjoyed our time here.

The Red Stag Grill is located in the Grand Bohemian hotel near the entrance of the Biltmore Estate. We arrived early and were able to get parking on the street, however valet parking is available We had made a reservation for dinner but when we arrived there were seats at the bar and we chose to sit there instead. It is always fun to watch the bar staff in action. The decor and ambiance is rich and the lighting is very dim. We ordered the Bread board,$10 and Brussels sprouts, $13. I have never raved about butter before but the butter with the bread was so creamy. The bartenders were friendly and remained on task. I recommend a meal at the Red Stag when in Asheville.
